25 SEP 1850 Reported by Board of Guardians at Bishops Stortford that William had been selected as Master of a Brighton Workhouse and he should therefore resign his current position
23 OCT 1850 William & wife resign stating they have a post at Marylebone
20 NOV 1850 They leave Bishops Stortford Workhouse to take up their new post at Marylebone, London Workhouse

circa 1852 According to a family story the family emigrated to New Zealand where William set up a trading post to supply miners. With his wife and 4 children
circa 1853 Moved to Hobart with his family
